At Leafline, we’re pioneering a revolution in the sanitary and incontinence wear industry with our innovative, eco-friendly products. Founded in 2018, our journey began with a mission to overcome the limitations of traditional sanitary products and provide a better solution for individuals and the environment.

Our quest led us to discover the remarkable potential of pineapple leaf fibres, a byproduct of pineapple harvesting. This sustainable material is transformed into a highly absorbent, soft, breathable, and durable fabric, perfect for our high-quality, washable, and reusable sanitary and incontinence wear.

By leveraging cutting-edge technology and sustainable practices, we are able to meet the growing demand for high-quality fibre products. Our fibre production will be in full swing by 2025, reducing our environmental footprint and promoting eco-friendly practices throughout our operations.

Job Creation and Skills Development

This expansion will create additional jobs, providing employment opportunities and skills development for local residents.  As a result, we will drive positive change and contribute to the economic growth of the Eastern Cape region.

At Leafline, we’re driven by a passion for innovation, compassion, and sustainability.  Our team is dedicated to crafting high-quality, eco-friendly products that make a difference in the lives of our customers.

Our Founder’s Story

Candy Androliakos, the Founding Owner and Director, established Leafline after recognising the need for an alternative to disposable nappies during her time working at a retirement home.  Through extensive research, she discovered the remarkable properties of pineapple leaf fibres, leading to the creation of our signature eco-friendly sanitary wear.

Our Skilled Team

We’re proud to partner with Enkuthazweni Special Needs Centre in the Eastern Cape, employing skilled women who bring their sewing expertise and enthusiasm to our production process.  By providing employment opportunities and supporting their development, we’re fostering inclusivity, empowerment, and a culture of compassion.
